The administrative team is led by the chairperson. The team also includes a vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer and business relations coordinator. The team is responsible for administrative activities like planning activities, organizing meetings, finances, member issues, co-operation, orders and fundraising. The administration team enables the subject association’s continuity, quality and development.

I’m Susanna, a second-year social and public policy student. This is my second year on Fokus board. Last year I was in charge of the communications. I applied for chairperson because I wanted to continue working on board and to participate in developing Fokus. I am really excited about the coming year with our great board!
My duties includes for example developing our operation with our board and communicating between different parties. As a chairperson I am ultimately responsible for Fokus. I believe that we will have an interesting and educational year.
In addition to social and public policy I have studied communication and human resource management. In my freetime I like to spend time with my friends, sports and music.

I'm Sonja, a second year student of political science and social policy. In addition to the above, I study psychology and human resource management. Last year I was an events organizer in another organisation. Now I am the vice chair and in charge of memberships. As an vice chair, I support and assist Susanna and other board members in their tasks. Also I maintain the membership register and keep the membership sticker of with me.
I am originally from Mäntsälä and have lived in Jyväskylä for 4 years in 4 different apartments (heh, I've been hard to move). In my freetime I spend time with my friends and my dog. I enjoy dancing, exercise, music, listening to audio books and travelling.

My name is Joella, I’m 21 years old and this is my second year studying social policy and sociology. I’m this year's treasurer and my job is to make this year's budget and manage this year's funds.
While I’m not studying, I’m usually playing football or at the gym. In my freetime I also like to spend time with my friends and listen to music or podcasts. I also go to Fokus events very often, so I hope to see many of you there!

The academic affairs team is led by the head of academic affairs. In addition to the academic affairs representatives of sociology, social work and social and public policy from Fokus ry, it includes other academic affairs representatives from other subject associations in the department of social sciences and philosophy. The purpose of the team is to work as a link between students and the university staff, to promote students’ interests and to develop educational activity.

SOCIOLOGY
I'm Alina, a 23-year-old second-year student and responsible for education policy, particularly in sociology. The more familiar name for this post is ‘’kopo’’.
My task is to work with other kopos as a guardian of the students' interests and as a link between the students and the staff. This post includes e.g. various meetings, organizing events related to sociology (for example different events with the teaching staff) and answering students' messages.

The events team is led by four event coordinators, who share responsibility for the year’s events. The team also includes two event correspondents. The events team is responsible for sitsfests, parties, advertising events and coordinating events with the wellbeing team.

I'm Jerri, 22-year-old social work student at the second year of my studies and this year I'm continuing on Fokus' board as an event coordinator. Last year I really enjoyed being an event crew member; I got to organize fun events and met tons of amazing people. My absolute favourites revolve around sitzing/organizing sitzs/being a toastmaster. As a bonus, I'm also Fokus' 3MIO-coordinator this year, so one can more likely spot me on the streets of Jyväskylä during nighttime than in the daylight. A night owl.
About my freetime, as little as I have, I'm spending the most playing video games. (Fokus' E-sports team when?) I also work part-time besides my studies but luckily I'm very good at relaxing.

I’m Aino, 21 years old and a second year social work student. I have also studied psychology and violence studies so far. This year I also get to be one of the people responsible for Fokus’ events. In my free time I love to, for example, debrief with my friends over a cup of coffee and watch movies from a wide variety of genres. I also have an interest in fashion.
As a part of this year's event team, I am partly responsible for planning and making happen Fokus’ events. My name is Eemeli, I'm 26 years old and I'm studying Social Work for the second year now. I found myself in Jyväskylä after living in Tampere for a few years, but my hometown is a bit more north in Pyhäjärvi. On my spare time I can be found in Monitoimitalo's gym, or cooking and playing videogames at home.
In Fokus my role is in an event organizer, in which I can use my skills as a good improvizer and keep up with our organizations positive fuss. In our event organizer team we get to arrange events together with other subject organizations and as a part of the team, I'm more on the doer-side of things; as a helping hand. In the team we get to fulfill ourselves and ideas of events, in which we get to leave our own footprint :)

The communications team is led by Communications Coordinator. The team also includes International Affairs correspondent and Fogue representative (Fogue is our subject association’s paper). The team is responsible for the website, social media, email list, Fogue and international students. The team enables smooth and reliable communication in the subject association.

I’m Miikka. I am a 21-year-old second year student at the department of social sciences and philosophy. I study social policy, political science, and communication. Apart from studying I like to spend my time hanging out with friends, listening to music, watching movies, and attending the events of Fokus! This is my second year on the board of Fokus. This year I’m the international representative of Fokus. Last year I organized culture events.
As the international representative my job is to watch out for the interests of international students, communication and creating events for exchange students, international degree students and local students interested in internationalization.

I’m Sissi, 23-year-old Fogue representative and member of the communications team. Last year I was one of the event coordinators of Fokus. I study as a sociology major. I’m originally from Helsinki but Finland`s City of Lights has already stolen my heart.
During my freetime, I usually listen to music, drink way too much caffeine and sometimes I do miss my hometown and the sea. I also like to go to different flea markets here in Jyväskylä, visit art museums, see my friends and once in a while exercise.

The wellbeing team is led by Social Affairs Coordinator. The other team members are the culture representative, sports representative and environmental affairs & development representative. The team takes care of the well-being of our members by offering various non-alcoholic events (e.g. cultural, sports, working life and excursion events). The team advocates for a safe environment and sense of community in the subject association.

ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS & DEVELOPMENT

My name is Sara and I’m a second-year student at yfi. I major in sociology and my minors are economic science and educational science. I spend most of my leisure time with horses, but also listening to music and reading books. I’m interested in themes surrounding sustainable development, such as responsibility, ethicality, and the environment. This is my first year working in a student association and I’m excited about the future!
I’m in charge of environmental affairs and development cooperation. In practice, this means that I attend JYY’s sustainable development forums, keep an eye on Fokus’ environmental strategy and organize a charity campaign towards a developmental cooperation cause. I also work in the well-being team, in which we organize non-alcoholic events.

CULTURE
Hi!
I’m Sanni, a 22-year-old freshman from Tampere. I study sociology and political science, and on top of that am interested in pretty much everything. When I’m not hanging around at student events I spend my time playing the guitar and singing (poorly). I also dream about actually reading all the books I own and someday keeping my plants alive.
As the culture representative I’m in charge of organizing different kinds of cultural events, like visits to museums. As a member of the wellbeing team I also help with coordinating other alcohol-free events.
